How to get help for your mental health.

Have you ever tried sitting down to meditate when you’re furious at someone?

Or attempting to calm down and notice your breath in the grips of anxiety?

When it comes to emotional wellness, one of the toughest tasks is knowing how to deal with a difficult emotion when you’re deep in it.

The challenge is allowing yourself to:

  1. Feel and name the anger or anxiety

  2. Not take it out on anyone else

  3. Transform it into gold (whether that means having a hard conversation, setting a boundary or taking constructive action)

A 5-minute meditation for anger or anxiety

When I feel like this, I know the most effective way to move forward is to lean into the emotion – not away from it.
