Overload – carolinerainsford

The Chinese word for crisis is interpreted by some as also meaning opportunity.Sometimes we can arrive at a crisis situation without any warning sign, sometimes there are warnings.Whichever it is, we need to take a step back. When our emotions are running high, we can make it worse by catastrophizing. We need to take a number of deep breaths down to our lower Dantian which is three finger widths below our navel. It is the centre of life energy in the body.By using the breath ,we will help calm the emotions. We may need to accept the situation as it is for the moment before developing a vision on how to go forward. You have gotten through other tough situations and you will get through this whether it is a financial crisis, family or relationship problems etc. A friend once said you have to be especially kind to yourself in times of crisis, now is not the time to self sabotage,be your own best friend and seek G.P. or counselling help as required. The acupressure point CV17 or Ren 17 is also very good for stress, place the fingers of one hand on this point in the centre of the sternum and take a few deep breaths to calm and centre yourself.
