Getty and Verizon Announce $40,000 Incapacity Communities Grant

Getty Photographs has partnered with Verizon to launch a $40,000 inventive grant to help photographers and videographers in creating genuine representations of the incapacity group.  

True to its identify, the Incapacity Communities grant focuses on initiatives that emphasize the “community” facet of incapacity life. “In media and advertising, people with disabilities are often visualized alone, or as the only person with a disability in a community,” mentioned Dr. Rebecca Swift, the worldwide head of inventive insights at Getty Photographs. “Building on our ongoing work with the Disability Collection, our aim is to help content creators, brands and agencies emphasize the true nature of what it means to be part of the wider disability community.”
