Six new Area Seventies from 5 nations have been sustained Thursday throughout the normal convention management session of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The church will maintain the public classes of its 194th Semiannual General Conference this weekend, Oct. 5 and 6.
The First Presidency calls Area Seventies to help the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in administering the church round the world and to function witnesses of the title of Jesus Christ.
The new leaders are:
Third Quorum of the Seventy (Africa Central, Africa South and Africa West areas)
- Jean Pierre A. L. Haboko, 57, Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo; coordinator, Seminaries and Institutes of Religion; at the moment serving as ward temple and household historical past chief of the Kimbwala 2nd Ward; former bishop, bishopric counselor, mission president, stake presidency counselor and stake president; spouse: Jolie; 10 kids.
- George Katembo Njogu Munene, 47, Nairobi, Kenya; managing director, Simplify IT, Ltd.; at the moment serving as a counselor in the Kenya Nairobi West Mission presidency; former stake presidency counselor and stake president; spouse: Sarah; three kids.
In the Sixth Quorum of the Seventy (Caribbean, Central America and Mexico areas)
- Ramiro Ibarra Sanchez, 55, Guaymas, Mexico; manufacturing engineer; at the moment serving as president of the Guaymas México Stake; former bishop, bishopric counselor, excessive councilor and stake president; spouse: Itzel Janely; 4 kids.
- Francisco Villanueva Rojas, 44, Santa Cruz Xoxocotlán, Mexico; federal courtroom judicial actuary, Mexico authorities; at the moment serving as self-reliance group facilitator of the Independencia Ward; former bishop and stake president; spouse: Ester; two kids.

- Miguel A. Avila, 40, Lima, Peru; CEO, MTJ General Service SAC; lately launched as president of the Trujillo Perú Jerusalén Stake; former bishopric counselor, excessive councilor, stake presidency counselor and stake president; spouse: Flor; three kids.
- A. Enrique Texeira, 42, Lambaré, Paraguay; O&M regional supervisor, Meetinghouse Facilities; at the moment serving as assistant space auditor of the Paraguay Asunción North Assistant Area Audit Office; former bishop and bishopric counselor; spouse: Zanir Elena; two kids.
Area Seventies sometimes serve in a part-time capability for 5 years.
