Four years after burning down her dwelling gymnasium, Britney Spears is recounting a daunting fireplace accident.
The Princess of Pop told her Instagram followers on Monday that the “really dangerous” incident passed off six months prior.
“I was in my room, I turned the fire on, and all of the sudden, it blew up in my face,” the singer, 42, recalled whereas “talking in a British accent.”
The “Crossroads” star famous that since her fireplace had “done [that] before,” she often will get her safety to “come in and light it for” her.
“But this time, I just threw the whole thing in there, and it literally blew into my face,” Spears stated, including that the “person [she] was with just would not wake up.”
She claimed, “It took all my eyelashes off, my eyebrows and — see these baby bangs? These are from … it sizzl[ing] all my hair.”
At the time, the Grammy winner frightened she had second or third-degree burns and thought she was “gonna have to go to the emergency room because [her] face was, like, on fire.”
Spears defined, “It hurt to touch my phone. It hurt to put ice on my face. It hurt [to have] anything touch it. This happened for, like, six or seven hours. … The pain never went away. It was so, so, so bad.”
Finally, the performer took three Tylenol, which she known as a “really, really big deal” and in comparison with “f–king Vicodin,” and was ready to fall asleep.
“Yeah, it was really bad,” Spears concluded. “All is good now.”
Last yr, the dancer opened up concerning the fireplace she accidentally began with candles in her dwelling gymnasium, displaying off the charred remnants through Instagram.
“I walked past the door to the gym and flames, BOOM !!!!!!” Spears wrote in December 2023. “By the Grace of God the alarm went off after that and yippy hoorah no one bought harm. Unfortunately, now I've solely two items of kit left lol and a one-sided mirror gymnasium!!!!
“But it could be much worse so I’m grateful,” she continued on the time. “Pssss I like working out better outside anyways!!!!”
Spears, whose 13-year conservatorship was terminated in 2021, lives in a mansion in Los Angeles.
