Nick Saban revealed on Friday the “kiss of death” for a crew is a bit more difficult.

“Play poorly and win,” Saban mentioned throughout his weekly look on “The Pat McAfee Show.” “That is the kiss of death.”

“The really great competitors always keep that great mindset,” the ESPN “College GameDay” analyst shared. “They want to be the best they can be. It’s not just about winning and losing. It’s about how good can I be.”

So does that imply Alabama has the edge over visiting Georgia on Saturday after the Bulldogs struggled to beat Kentucky two weeks in the past, 13-12. Not essentially.

“Knowing (Georgia coach) Kirby (Smart), knowing Georgia, knowing the kind of success and expectations they have as a team, I would say that winning that close game was a positive thing for them to be able to say, ‘Hey, we need to be able to make some corrections here.’ … I think the players probably were very receptive to that, and I think the bye week was probably a very welcomed time for them.”
