Jurickson Profar Claims Padres were Inspired by Dodgers’ Deception in Game 3 | Sports

Date:

There is a wonderful line between confidence and cockiness and Jurickson Profar is teetering on the border.

The San Diego Padres left fielder has been fueling the drama together with his taunting of followers and shenanigans in the sector.

However, he doesn’t see it that method and added gasoline to the hearth on Tuesday when he accused the Dodgers of lying.

“I think it motivated us. It motivated us,” he said about Game 2’s brouhaha. “Like all those things — all (that) lying I don’t know, man. It’s a great team over there. I don’t think they need all (that) lying. We just need to play baseball. … Like Fernando’s dancing. You guys are insulting us. You (are) throwing stuff. You do everything. What do you want him to do? He’s reacting like that, he’s dancing like that because of you guys. And they make it seem like no, he’s dancing and taunting the fans. Do you think he just goes to the field to be dancing? Really?”

Profar’s opinion of Game 2 doesn’t appear to be a actuality however he'll maintain telling himself that so long as the Padres are successful.

Some of his teammates moved previous the chaos of Game 2 and didn’t wish to touch upon it.

“I don’t think we should waste our energy on much of that,” Xander Bogaerts said. (*3*)

Outfielder David Peralta has been on each side of this rivalry and has performed a key position with the Padres in this sequence.

“No matter what the situation (is) that goes down, don’t worry, we’ve got your back,” said Peralta, whose double drove in two runs in the second inning. “That’s what we do. We did it today. … We’re good — offense, defense, pitching, starting, relievers. That’s what it’s all about. We come and shut the teams down. The Dodgers have a pretty good lineup, and we just shut it down. That’s what it’s all about. It’s not just about one person. … We’re all together in this, and that’s what we’re doing. We’ve been doing this the whole year, and we’re just going to keep doing it. And the best part is we get better every day.”
