A 2024 Miss Teen Rodeo winner has died in a automotive crash in Kansas.
Colby Community College pupil Emma Brungardt, 19, was killed and 4 of her teammates injured in a automotive accident in Thomas County, at round 9:44 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, Kansas Highway Patrol said in a report obtained by PEOPLE.
The single-vehicle collision occurred at a Y intersection and a personal drive when an 18-year-old Colorado man driving Brungardt and her 4 teammates in a 2007 Ford F-250 truck veered “between the Y striking a tree row.” This induced the car to flip and land upright.
The driver and Brungardt's 4 teammates, whose ages ranged from 18-20, had been transported to Citizens Medical Center for his or her accidents. Brungardt died on the scene.
